This month came the arrival of the infamous ‘container shipment’.
On the only day of this year that it snowed, came the announcement that a shipment filled with boba, syrups and more goodies would be arriving at our fulfilment centre.
Our marketing assistant,Annie, hid for as long as she could but eventually was found and put to work. 😅 Our e-commerce assistantJoey, at a whopping 5’3, was raring and ready to go! We readied ourselves in hats, scarves and gloves. It took 4 long hours….ok 3…ok it took 1 hour and a treacherous 45 minutes to unload. 📦 Everyone had long abandoned any hats, scarves and gloves because it became a full on workout. Surprisingly the only injury was a broken nail. 💅Hopefully this shipment should last for the months to come. 🥳
Also don’t worry, our staff was paid in hi-chews!Our newest treat, which is available now, in-store and online.🍬
Tempo Community Space New Layout
If you didn’t already know or you’ve been living under a rock, we have a community space! We’ve been renovating and changing the layout for a year now and thought it needed a little bit of…spice. 😉
This involved some LED lights, new furniture and some amazing artwork. 🎨 Doesn’t it look great?!
The artwork is by our incredibly talented partner Christian. Christian holds dance classes all the time at the space so come along if you are interested. 🕺 Check out his Instagram for more information!
Our space is also where we pack orders for all you lovely people. If you come along you may even see us rushing around upstairs. 🏃♀️
First Amazon Package
Exciting news! For the past month or so we have been selling our home kits through Amazon.
This was the first pallet to be sent off. Can you guess how many kits are in this one pallet? The answer is A LOT! 😱
We had our whole team busy making each kit. Each boba tub and syrup bottle is filled and sealed by hand. 👋
Head of fulfilment, Duncan, was ensuring every package was made correctly and worked along with Steven and Josh to package and make the items for every order. 📦
Annie and Joey from marketing were asked (told) to help. This resulted in some friendly competition (a blood bath) over who could finish making 30 boba tubs the fastest. It was Joey. 😎
It meant the world to us that there were so many orders being placed everyday. ❤️ Especially around Christmas time when it became similar to Santa’s workshop! 🎄
If you are a frequent visitor of our shop then you may have seen our ambassador wall! There are tasks our staff can compete to earn points and by the end of the month we should have a lucky winner. 🏆
Our lucky winner for January was Arianna! Well done!
We are so excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to see what’s to come! 🤩
Thank you again for all your support throughout 2021. 💜
See you next month with more news…
